Generative AI terms
By using any of the Generative AI products, features, and tools (“AI Products”) offered by Reg Metrics Ltd (“RegMetrics”, “we”, “our” or “us”), you agree to be bound by RegMetrics' general 'Terms and Conditions' (“General Terms and Conditions”), these Generative AI Terms, and any other applicable terms, policies and guidelines. If you are using the AI Products on behalf of a business, that business accepts these terms. Defined terms have the same meaning as in the General Terms.
We offer AI Products to assist you to automate operations, speed up workflows and to regain time. The AI Products are made available without additional charge and strictly subject to your acceptance of the terms, conditions, restrictions, disclaimers and limits of liability set out in these RegMetrics Generative AI Terms.
This section details the security and data privacy aspects of our AI-product, which utilises Google Cloud's Vertex AI.
Your use of the AI Product signifies your understanding and agreement to our data handling practices as outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
1. Data Usage for Model Training
RegMetrics uses Google Cloud’s Generative AI Product ‘Vertex AI’ to, but not limited to, assist with the generation and refinement of the ‘intended purpose’ and related device description. We want to assure you that the information you provide and the responses generated are, by default, not used by Google to train or improve their foundational AI models. Your data remains confidential and is processed solely for the purpose of providing you with this specific feature on our platform. 2. Data Processing
The data you submit and the AI-generated outputs are primarily processed within Google Cloud's data centers located in Europe.
3. Data Encryption
All data exchanged with our AI services is encrypted to ensure its confidentiality and integrity. Please find more information on the Google ‘Encryption in Transit for Google Cloud’ guidance.
4. Limitations of AI-Generated Content
The 'Intended Purpose' generated by our AI feature is designed to be a helpful draft and a starting point based on the information you provide. It is crucial to understand that this AI-generated content does not constitute legal, regulatory, or professional medical device advice.
5. User Responsibilities and Acknowledgement
By utilising our AI Product, you are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of the input data you provide. You acknowledge that you will independently review and validate all AI-generated content before incorporating it into your official documentation. Furthermore, any use inconsistent with ethical guidelines will be subject to the 'Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy'.
6. Third-Party Subprocessors
By using the AI Product you acknowledge and agree that Google acts as a subprocessor of data, providing the underlying infrastructure and AI services. We have entered into appropriate data processing agreements with Google to ensure your data is handled securely and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
7. Updates to AI Models/Services
Google's Security & Identity guidance ‘Navigating the EU AI Act: Google Cloud's proactive approach’ may be amended from time to time. Please ensure you check them at the time of your use of the RegMetrics AI Product.
